Author. Writer. Storyteller. Journalist. Editor.
Hi, I'm Kristine, and thanks for visiting my site!
I write stories about the ways people heal. I explore how people cope with loss, change, trauma, and how they recover.
My first novel is about a family created in peace, love and music of the '70s, but torn apart by the times-- and their deepest regrets. What becomes of these broken-hearted? Will they find peace, answers, and a second chance again, when all is lost?
Though this is my debut novel, I've made my career writing, editing, and interviewing people, telling their stories.
A Cleveland, Ohio, gal, I earned a B.A. in journalism magna cum laude from Duquesne University, and then worked in DC where I wrote, edited, and worked with the media for a federal law enforcement agency’s press office for ten years. Since then, while being a mom to three wonderful kids and a snoozing labradoodle at my feet (RIP the greatest editorial assistant ever) I've worked as an award-winning freelance journalist in Northern Virginia and Northeast Ohio, published in USA TODAY, Washington Post, Family Circle Magazine, Northern Virginia Magazine, Chicken Soup books, Cleveland/Akron Family, and many more.
